We operate the platform: the technology and marketplace through which independent auction houses list and sell goods, and through which buyers view, register for and bid in sales.

We are the operator of the platform. Unless expressly stated, we are not the seller of any lot and we are not the auctioneer of any sale. The auction house named on each sale is the seller and is responsible for the accuracy of its lot descriptions, for taking payment and for delivering goods.

You must be at least 18 years old to open an account or to bid. You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date.

We may refuse, suspend or close any account at our discretion, including where we suspect fraud, misuse or a breach of these terms.

One account per person. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.

We require a verified email address before an account can be used. Auction houses may also be required to complete identity and business verification (KYC) before listing sales.

A bidder account does not by itself entitle you to bid in a sale. You must register for each auction you wish to bid in, and an auction house may require and approve your registration before you may bid.

A bid is an offer to buy and is binding. When you are the highest bidder at the close of a lot you are obliged to pay the hammer price together with any buyer's premium, taxes and charges stated on the lot or sale.

Timed auctions may be extended when a bid is placed close to the closing time, and individual auction houses may apply soft-close rules. These are shown on the sale.

Where a lot is offered at a fixed price or with a Buy It Now option, the stated price and any approval requirements apply.

Auction houses must be approved before listing. You are responsible for the accuracy of your lot descriptions, for having the right to sell the goods, and for compliance with all applicable law.

Commission and any other fees payable to us are set out in the platform's pricing or in your agreement with us.

You must not list or bid on items that are unlawful to sell, and you must not misuse the platform, interfere with its operation, or attempt to gain access to data belonging to others.

We operate the platform and hold the customer data on it. Registrants agree that we may hold and process their data in accordance with our Privacy Policy, including for the purposes of operating sales, fraud prevention and communications.

Where you deal with an auction house, the information necessary to complete that transaction is shared with that auction house.

Charges may include a buyer's premium, a seller's commission, listing or feature fees, and subscription fees for auction houses. Applicable charges are shown before you commit to a purchase.

We provide the platform on an 'as is' basis and do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts or omissions of buyers or auction houses, or for indirect or consequential loss.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified and continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the updated terms. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
